Climate change is the major challenge of our planet of the 21st century, with inherent negative impacts and risks, but also opportunities.

It is a fact that the impacts of climate change are inevitable and will involve a process of adaptation of natural and human systems on a global scale in order to increase their resilience.
Researchers, NGOs, policy makers, corporates, entrepreneurs and experts will come together at ISOC 2019 to share the state-of-the-art knowledge, discuss latest scientific innovations, discoveries and practices on climate change adaptation, its impacts on the economy and the opportunities that may arise from climate change mitigation and adaptation.

In this first edition, ISOC 2019 conference will host plenary sessions and workshops divided into three main topics: Marine Ecosystems, Sustainable Buildings Construction and Environmental Quality.

Over three days of conference sessions, workshops, networking activities, trade fair and exhibitions, participants from all over the world will explore the opportunities of climate change for innovation and sustainable economic growth.
